After the Sendero  Bosque de Arrayanes trail walk and the lunch break at Lago Moreno, The Wandelgek advanced further on the Circuito Chico. The first stretch he drove past beautiful Lago Moreno…

After a while the road, which had been at water level near the lake, started to ascend and a few kilometers further, he reached the last of the highlights of the Circuito Chico Roadtrip, the:

Punta Panoramico Circuito Chico

Again, this is a stop you do not want to miss…

On the photo above you can spot the Gran Hotel Panamericano just left of the center…

This panorama was not from a very high altitude, like the previous one at Cerro Campanario, but still the views were quite phenomenal…

This large country style Hotel is right in the middle of this beautiful panoramic area, near both panoramic viewpoints The Wandelgek visited and near the Sendero Bosque de Arrayanes too. Near the village of Villa Llao Llao is the Puerto Panuela from which boats cross the lake, e.g. towards Puerto Blest.

For The Wandelgek this was the last stop on the Circuito Chico. It was again a fine place to soak up the views over the Misty Mountains. His next travel plan directed him towards the much wilder southern Andes, which almost everybody he knew who visited this, described as one of the most beautiful places on Earth. For now, The Wandelgek soaked up the view and thought: ” How on Earth can anything be even more beautiful than this…?”.

Then The Wandelgek returned to San Carlos de Bariloche for the last couple of hours in the Northern Lake District. He had planned to leave the area the next day, but due to diminished air traffick (canceled flights) he had to leave in the evening, so he could still reach his next destination the next morning.
