In Nepal and Tibet, “The Wandelgek” has been spotted on the Friendship Highway, especially at Gongkar airport and in Lhasa, the monasteries of Drepung, Sera, Ganden and Samye, along Lake Yamdrok Tso, Gyanze, Shigatse, Sakya, Rongbuk (Everest Base camp), Tingri, Lhatse, Mila Repa’s cave, Zhangmu, Kodari, Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.
